Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Bilingual Cell Phone and Computer Technician to join our team in Hyattsville, Maryland. In this role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of devices while providing excellent customer service to our diverse local community. The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Spanish, possesses strong technical problem-solving skills, and thrives in a fast-paced retail or repair environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers. Replace cracked screens, batteries, charging ports, and other hardware components. Troubleshoot software issues, perform data backups, and remove malware or viruses. Greet customers and discuss device symptoms to determine necessary repairs. Provide accurate repair price estimates and turnaround times to clients. Translate technical details clearly for both English and Spanish-speaking customers. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workbench and retail workspace. Manage parts inventory and log repair details into our point-of-sale system.
Qualifications:
Professional experience repairing cell phones, electronics, or computers preferred. Fluent bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish are required. Strong hands-on knowledge of Apple iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS systems. Experience using precision repair tools, heat guns, and basic diagnostic software. Excellent customer service skills with a patient and friendly attitude. Ability to work flexible part-time hours, including weekends if needed. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent technical certifications (like CompTIA A+).
