Job Description

Specialized experience includes: PC operating systems, including Windows Networking and mail standards Help desk support General experience includes information systems development, client/server environments, or related fields.
Functional Responsibilities:
Provide phone and in-person user support. Support email, directories, Windows desktop applications, and contract-specific applications. Serve as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting hardware/software PC and printer issues. Maintain strong written and verbal communication and a positive customer-service approach.
Minimum Education:
Associate degree in a related technical, engineering, business, or other approved field, or applicable training certificate.
Education/Experience Substitutions:
Bachelor's degree + 4 years of general experience, including at least 2 years specialized. No degree + 8 years of general experience, including at least 6 years specialized.
Full Req:
The Major Incident Response (MIR) Technician will support the AFNCR Cyber Support Center and be responsible for the full lifecycle of major IT incident management , from initial identification and triage through resolution and root cause analysis. This position requires someone who can operate effectively under pressure, coordinate multiple technical teams, maintain situational awareness, and clearly communicate incident status to Government leadership and other stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
Proactively identify and classify major IT incidents using information from AFNCR work centers and monitoring tools. Serve as the primary point of contact for newly identified major incidents. Triage issues and engage the appropriate internal and external technical teams. Establish and facilitate troubleshooting conference bridges. Coordinate technical teams throughout incident response and resolution. Provide clear and timely status updates to stakeholders and Government leadership. Maintain situational awareness of incident status and operational impact. Disseminate critical information through appropriate Government communication and command channels. Drive incident investigation and resolution. Work with Problem Management teams on root cause analysis. Track corrective actions designed to prevent recurring incidents.
Required Qualifications:
Active Secret clearance . Valid CompTIA Security+ certification . Minimum 2 years of experience working in a DoD environment . Strong foundational understanding of network equipment, architecture, and capabilities . Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to brief stakeholders and clearly explain complex technical situations. Ability to multitask and make decisions under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment. #AC1
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
