Job Summary ¿ Job Description This position supports the secure, accurate, and timely management of employee digital identities throughout the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment and hire through job changes, leave events, and separation. The role focuses on identity data integration and access provisioning driven by the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to ensure employees have appropriate access to systems, applications, and data needed to perform their roles. The IAM Specialist works closely with Human Resources, Payroll, Information Technology, and security teams to translate employee lifecycle events into identity, authentication, and authorization actions that support institutional operations, compliance requirements, and security standards. Minimum Qualifications Experience supporting enterprise systems and integrations, preferably in higher education. Understanding of identity and access management concepts, including identity lifecycle, authentication, authorization, and access provisioning. Experience working with structured data, system integrations, or business process automation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Demonstrated experience in incident management, request fulfillment, escalation management, and operational communications. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills, sufficient to working with business partners to understand the organizational needs and to explain technical issues in plain language. Preferred Qualification Experience working with an ERP or HR/HCM platform in a higher education setting. Familiarity with directory services and identity platforms (for example: Okta, Entra ID or similar technologies). Experience troubleshooting data integrations or event-based workflows. Understanding of privacy, security, and compliance considerations related to employee data. Understanding and familiarity of IT service management practices and tools (e.g. Team Dynamix, ServiceNow or similar) and knowledge base practices. Demonstrated experience supporting security, privacy, and compliance requirements within operational workflows.
