Job Description
Description CarShield is seeking a Tier 1 IT Technician to join its growing Tech Support team. This role serves as the first point of contact for internal IT support and provides assistance across a wide range of issues involving computers, thin clients, phones, Active Directory, and related systems. The successful candidate will combine hands-on troubleshooting skills with reliability, flexibility, and a team-oriented approach. In this role, you will: Provide Tier 1 help desk support to internal employees through the ticketing system, chat, and in-person assistance. Troubleshoot computers, thin clients, phones, headsets, and other peripherals. Assist with the setup, maintenance, and servicing of IT equipment. Accurately document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the incident management system. Serve as a liaison between the IT department and departments throughout the organization. Perform other IT tasks and projects as assigned. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate commensurate with experience. Requirements Two to three years of experience in a help desk or IT support environment. Strong working knowledge of computer hardware installation, maintenance, and repair. Demonstrated experience troubleshooting desktop and peripheral issues. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and collaboration tools. Familiarity with incident management and ticketing systems. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees at all levels. Strong time-management skills and ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision. Reliability, flexibility, and ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to perform a combination of physical and computer-based tasks.
