Job Description
Installs, configures, repairs or replaces computer related hardware, software, local networking equipment and wiring and ensures their stability while meeting corporate standards and procedures for optimal integration with all CSC's applications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinates with IT Manager, local site management, and Corporate infrastructure group.
- Performs all functions and duties with adherence to corporate policy when applicable.
- Assists in Configuring user's mobile devices for wireless in-office access.
- Create and Update documentation for problem resolutions, corporate computing standards, and technical data.
- Assist in life-cycle management of hardware, including responsible recycling and certified data destruction of storage devices.
- Availability to be on-call after normal business hours.
- Maintains a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in an effective manner with customers, co-workers, clients and supervisors.
- Assist users with operating computer equipment and software to optimize productivity.
- Install, configure, repair and replace computer related hardware, software and local networking equipment and wiring.
- Define, identify, troubleshoot and resolve users' issues.
- Provide IT support in the manufacturing areas for computer-controlled equipment and related projects.
- Perform preventive maintenance of PCs, Servers and other computer and peripheral hardware to minimize downtime.
- Provide training on internal IT systems policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with corporate IT to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of IT infrastructure and operations.
- Assist employees with company-provided awareness training to educate them about potential security risks and best practices for maintaining a secure computing environment.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives led by the corporate team, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Professional certification (e.g. CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+) is preferred.
- Experience with PC hardware repair, server hardware, and disk systems.
- Good working knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Active Directory
- Analytically minded with excellent problem-solving ability.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, effective written and verbal communication and inter-personal skills; fluent in spoken and written English.
- Good Decision-making skills
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work remotely after business hours as needed.
- Must be willing and able to travel to other locations, depending on project needs and timelines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- General office environment.
- May require occasional exposure to production area with airborne particles, loud noises, and extreme heat and cold.
