Position Summary Under the supervision of Information Technology Coordinator; this position provides basic computer operational and software assistance to users, resolves operational problems, performs preventative maintenance, and is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining desktop, laptop and mobile systems, as well as troubleshooting network connectivity, application security and other issues. Responsibilities Support Provide support in diagnosing hardware and software issues and troubleshooting activities. Assist in handling data migration duties. Take user support requests and take measures to fulfill requests. Assist in hardware and software inventory management. Troubleshoot equipment such as printers and scanners and other peripherals. Technical Assist in performing hardware and software installation procedures. Perform software configuration on stand-alone computers and laptops. Lay cables and wires for networks and ensure that they are in good working order. Handle periodic maintenance of hardware and software. Goals Contribute to the strategic goals and outcomes of the agency as measured by the development and achievement of individual, departmental, and organizational goals and outcomes. Deal constructively and helpfully with all other members of the organization. Fully support and model the mission and values of YBGR. Performance Adhere to all policies, systems, safety requirements, and procedures of the organization. Take the initiative to identify problems and seek out solutions. Be a professional representative of the organization to those outside it. Participate and engage in monthly supervision/coaching meetings with supervisor. The person in this position will constantly communicate with end users and vendors. Must be able to communicate accurate information and accurately understand information communicated by those individuals including non-technical users. Education High School Diploma or GED. One (1) year of professional experience in a technology role providing services to end users. Work Environment Seldom to occasionally moves technology equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Will occasionally be required to remain in a stationary position for an extended period while performing administrative duties. Consistently needs to move about inside building, outside to include uneven terrain, changes in elevation, and often change body position from and to standing, kneeling, sitting, and prone.
