Job Description

IT Specialist BB&E Inc. life insurance, vision insurance, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) Sep 15, 2026 BB&E is an employee-owned full service civil and environmental engineering and consulting firm, headquartered in Northville, Michigan, which services both the Federal and Industrial sectors throughout the United States. BB&E team members provide Environmental Consulting, Facilities Engineering and Program/Project Management Services to Federal and private sectors. Position Summary BB&E is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IT Specialist to join our team providing technical support to the 341st Civil Engineer Squadron (341 CES) on-site at Malmstrom, AFB, Montana. Job Duties & Responsibilities Report on status of continuing education requirements in manner prescribed by Contracting Officer

Knowledge of DoD and AF computer and network standards, policies, and techniques.

Knowledge of servers and commercial off the shelf/government off the shelf software to identify corrective or preventative actions to ensure optimum performance.

Knowledge of facility environment and infrastructure to support computer systems (Information Technology/Operational Technology).

Skills in troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting, modifying, and improving systems to solve conventional problems and provide support that minimizes interruptions in service to customers.

Ability to use and maintain a computer system, equipment, and software; analyze computer network, software, and hardware problems and develop effective and economical solutions; and train users on new computer systems. Requirements Key Qualifications U.S. Citizenship and a DoD Secret Clearance is required

Must comply with DAFMAN 17-1305, to include:

a. Sign Formal Statement for Assigned Cybersecurity Responsibilities

b. Sign a Privileged User Agreement for every privileged account assigned

c. Authorize release of DoD approved cyberspace foundational certification data to DoD if used to meet foundational requirements

d. Fulfill continuing educational requirements of a minimum of 20 hours per year as required by DoDM 8140.03

e. Report on status of continuing education requirements in manner prescribed by Contracting Officer

Knowledge

Have and maintain DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework (DCWF) security requirements per DoD 8140.03 specified for this position

IT451 Systems Administrator (intermediate) and IT411 Technical Operations Specialist (intermediate).

Strong Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Software:

Proficiency using MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.

Self-Starter:

Highly motivated, with the ability to solve problems and function as a member of a team.

Experience & Education Experience:
Required:

Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience.

Education:
