Job Description

Join our team as an IT Help Desk Summer Intern ! Under the guidance of our IT Director, you will gain hands-on experience providing hardware and software support for our hospital's information, televideo, and telephone systems. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in an IT program, offering practical experience in a fast-paced environment. What You Will Do (Essential Job Functions):
Support & Troubleshoot:
Act as the first point of contact for hospital staff via phone, email, and ticketing system (Sys-Aid), diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues.
Asset Management:
Prepare, install, and track new personal computers, peripherals, and cable plants to maintain an accurate inventory.
System Setup:
Install new software on computers and terminals under the guidance of the Network Administrator.
Network Maintenance:
Assist in installing computer network cabling and terminating connections at patch panels and user outlets.
Telehealth Support:
Assist with the maintenance and operation of hospital tele-video and telephone equipment.
Documentation:
Create "how-to" guides and document procedures to improve internal knowledge.
Project Work:
Assist the IT department on special projects and Research & Development tasks. What We Are Looking For (Job Qualifications):
Required:
Currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year college/university Information Technology program. High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred:
Completed IT coursework at the High School or Vocational level. Strong interest in hardware troubleshooting and customer service. Post-offer/per-employment background check and drug screen are required. Box Butte General Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
