In this role, you will be the frontline expert ensuring seamless connectivity, reliable telecommunication services, and robust security solutions. Your expertise will help clients optimize their IT infrastructure, enhance network performance, and resolve technical issues swiftly. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive technician passionate about technology, customer service, and field service excellence. Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, Ethernet switches, and VoIP systems to ensure optimal performance. Conduct fiber splicing and cabling work using low voltage wiring standards such as Cat5, Cat6, and NEC-compliant electrical practices. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on computer hardware, telecommunication equipment, CCTV systems, and data center infrastructure. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately install or repair systems in accordance with industry standards. Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform cabling runs, equipment mounting, and hardware repairs in various environments. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system status, troubleshooting steps, and maintenance procedures. Document all work performed through detailed reports while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards. Experience Proven experience as a service technician in IT or telecommunications fields with a strong background in network installation and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN configurations, Ethernet cabling (Cat5/Cat6), VLANs, and network security fundamentals. Familiarity with Cisco routers, Juniper networking equipment, Avaya telephony systems, and VoIP technology. Knowledge of fiber splicing techniques along with experience working in data centers or telecommunication environments. Ability to use testing tools such as ohmmeters for electrical measurements and troubleshoot low voltage systems effectively. Prior work involving CCTV installation or maintenance using schematics for surveillance system setup is highly desirable. Strong electrical experience combined with proficiency in using hand tools like crimpers, wire strippers, drills, power saws, and other essential equipment for field service tasks. Can you install Starlink satellite sytems? Can you install and troubleshoot CCTV systems inclusive of installing cameras? Can you install and troubleshoot alarm systems (burglar and fire alarm systems). Can you install hardware networking devices like APs and routers and switches? Are you able to do low voltage cabling? Do you have your own tools for working on telephone and POTS lines? Do you have your own tools for low-voltage cabling, such as cable testers, cable crimpers & strippers, and other cable management tools? Do you have a functional vehicle for commuting to customers' locations to execute assigned work orders?
Experience:
low voltage cabling: 3 years (Required) working on telephone lines and POTS lines: 2 years (Preferred) CCTV and Alarm systems: 2 years (Preferred)
