Job Overview Under the guidance of the IT Director, the Part time IT Support Specialist's responsibilities are to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to the School's IT Systems and provide technical support to users. Please only apply if you are seeking Part Time employment. Responsibilities Manage the IT HelpDesk and escalate tickets to the Director or external vendors as needed. Support and troubleshoot Audio/Visual (AV) equipment, including interactive displays, projectors, and sound systems in classrooms and meeting spaces. Provide technical support for the school's telephony systems, assisting users with VoIP handset configuration and basic call routing issues. Assist with the support and troubleshooting of access control hardware, including badge readers and electronic locks, in coordination with facilities or vendors. Provide basic troubleshooting for the security camera system, ensuring connectivity and assisting with footage retrieval requests as directed. Provide technical support for software applications, cloud-hosted platforms, and computer hardware. Install and maintain computer operating systems and endpoint configurations. Facilitate Onboarding/Offboarding and changes to employee system access. Work with IT vendors under the direction of the IT Director to resolve infrastructure or hardware issues. Additional duties as assigned. Requirements 1+ years of technical computer troubleshooting and support Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365, Windows OS, Mac OS, and Google G Suite for Education Familiarity with the following: Networking, WiFi Management, Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory Working knowledge of A/V equipment, from installation to configuration and troubleshooting Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude Knowledge of current trends in technology Strong research and analytical skills Strong customer service dedication Ability to teach others to use technology Must be physically and mentally capable of performing multiple tasks (such as phone calls, computer work, and receiving visitors) and be capable of consistently functioning well in a fast-paced environment Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must have a strong commitment to and ability to execute superior customer service Must be able to accept critical feedback and direction in a professional manner Must exhibit the following qualities to be a successful team player: Trustworthiness through behavior and consistent work results Trust and support of other team members, superiors, and Derryfield employees Ability to communicate in a timely and professional manner to address conflicts Strong evidence of commitment and loyalty to the team, the tasks, and the School Strong evidence of ownership and accountability for work and mistakes Consistent and superior attention to detail and results Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to empowering users through innovative technology solutions!
