Job Description Responsibilities Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students for computers, printers, and peripheral devices. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues within the department level. Install, configure, maintain, and update computer hardware and software. Assist with setting up computers, projectors, monitors, microphones, and audiovisual equipment for meetings, classrooms, conferences, and special events. Provide technical support for classroom technology and departmental computer labs. Print and prepare research posters for faculty, students, departmental events, and other university departments. Coordinate and prioritize poster printing requests to ensure deadlines are met. Maintain an inventory of computer equipment, technology assets, and printing supplies. Assist the Mechanical Engineering staff with the setup and technical support for faculty meetings, seminars, workshops, guest lectures, and other departmental functions. Assist with the planning, setup, and execution of student events, including orientations, open houses, research symposiums, commencement activities, and other departmental programs. Set up and test presentation equipment, audiovisual systems, and computers before meetings and events to ensure proper operation. Coordinate with Stevens Information Technology (IT) Services to resolve technical issues beyond the department's scope. Perform other technology-related projects and administrative duties as assigned.
