Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled IT Specialist to join our innovative technology team. IT Technical Operations Manager PURPOSE:
An effective IT Specialist holds safety as a value. Demonstrates safe work practices in all they do and has no hesitation notifying anyone of an unsafe situation. The IT Specialist is responsible for troubleshooting computer systems; installing software packages and system upgrades; and providing in-house training to department personnel on systems and software use; and performs related work as required. Assists with help desk support, and configuration of personal computers, operating systems, peripherals, and other items supporting the Allied Infrastructure. 1.0 DUTIES /RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow all company safety guidelines, practices, and procedures. This includes the proper use of personal protective equipment when required.
- Provides onsite maintenance, troubleshoots, and corrects problems related to hardware and software, desktop computers, laptop computers, and peripheral devices.
- Provides help desk support and coordinates responses. Maintains repair records in coordination with help desk.
- Helps the IT Department complete projects and participates in IT meetings and on-call rotation.
- Take initiative in establishing and achieving standards for equipment and customer service levels.
- Supervise and participate in computer hardware and software upgrades.
- Assist in cable management, software, servers, and network support.
- Supervises the documentation of user hardware and software inventories and documents procedures utilized to correct problems.
- Research current technologies to make knowledgeable suggestions.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of operation systems through upgrades, implementing new standards and procedures, tool development, virus, and patch resolution.
- Communicates and coordinates regularly with others to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of interdepartmental operations and activities.
- Performs project assignments, as required, and performs other related duties consistent with the role and function of the classification.

EXPERIENCE :
- Associate degree in information technology (or related degree), one (1) to three (3) plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Individual should understand manufacturing practices.
REQUIREMENT
- Ability to follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Ability to generate reporting documents and participate in team meetings.
- Self-motivated with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment.
- Basic math skills, ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals to practical situations.
- Ability to read, interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of the organization.

Involves moderate or occasional presence of unfavorable conditions, i.e., cold, dust, heat, noise, odor, chemicals, etc. Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, heat protective sleeves, and safety shoes may be required in the area that you are working in based on our safety PPE standards.
