Job Description
We are seeking a Technology Applications Spec, also known as an Application Support Specialist, for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This position focuses on software application administration, troubleshooting, and support rather than traditional helpdesk or infrastructure engineering. You will work in a collaborative technical environment with supportive leadership, cross-functional teamwork, and opportunities to strengthen your application support, automation, and analytics skills. Key Responsibilities
- Provide tier-level technical support for mission-critical enterprise software applications.
- Manage, track, and resolve application support tickets using enterprise ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, or similar tools.
- Write, modify, or run basic scripts to support automation, troubleshooting, and application maintenance tasks.
- Review application performance, system logs, and data trends to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate application updates, bug fixes, maintenance, and issue resolution.

OH area, Parma, OH 44130. Required Qualifications and Skills- Support and troubleshoot enterprise software applications in a production environment.
- Manage application support tickets from intake through resolution.
- Use scripting or data analysis to assist with automation, issue diagnosis, and application support.
- Collaborate with technical teams, business users, and vendors to resolve application issues.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in software support, application administration, IT application support, or a closely related technical support role.
- Experience using enterprise ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of scripting or coding tools such as PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, Bash, or similar languages.
- Ability to analyze system logs, application behavior, and data trends to support root cause analysis.
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure concepts, including networking, Active Directory, and server environments as they relate to application functionality.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise-level or mission-critical business applications.
- Familiarity with application monitoring, reporting, data analytics, or process automation.
- Experience working with vendors on software updates, defect resolution, or application maintenance.
- Ability to identify process improvements that enhance application stability, ticket resolution times, and end-user satisfaction.
