IT Manager Job Summary:
This position is responsible for performing remote and desk-side hardware support. Diagnose, implement and trouble shoot hardware and software including but not limited to operating systems, office applications, 3rd party applications, networks, computer operations and phone systems. Key Responsibilities Provide end user support in a timely and courteous manner. 2. Set up computer equipment, do minor repairs, schedule maintenance and teach clients to use programs. 3. Diagnose computer problems, monitor computer/server systems, install software and perform tests on computer equipment and programs. 4. Install hardware, software, operating systems and office applications including unpacking new equipment, installing and removing options in PC's, installing and configuring software, performing backups of workstations and servers, shutdown and moving workstations and performing PC installations and swaps. 5. Work with structured wiring systems, maintain, troubleshoot and support through vendor when necessary. 6. Terminate Cat5/6 and coax cable. 7. Maintain, troubleshoot and support network/software for numerous different software applications. 8. Enable/Disable user accounts; directory/email; as per procedure for new hire/termed users on all systems, printing of appropriate badges and maintain accurate records. 9. Provide support for all departments for projects involving technology and information storage/retrieval. Maintain security for all casino IT facilities at all times. 10. Maintains the highest level of confidentiality. 11. Deal tactfully with guests when handling unexpected situations, finding solutions that ensure customer satisfaction with minimal impact on Casino operations. 12. Communicates effectively with co-workers, management and guests. 13. Operate as an emergency Pull/Count Team member as required. 14. May be required to perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education/Experience/Qualifications Educational/Experience:
High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of IT desktop support, systems training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Wyandotte Nation Gaming License. 1. Working knowledge of basic network administration and technically proficient in executing their assigned duties. 2. Ability to apply specific knowledge to the resolution of specific problems in their assigned duties with less supervision. 3. Ability to work under pressure, flexible shifts and 24/7 coverage utilizing rotating on call list. 4. Experience with maintaining work stations and software. 5. Must be reliable, punctual and cooperative with co-workers and managers. 6. Maintain a professional and even tempered demeanor in a high stress environment. 7. Ability to work in areas containing high noise levels and second hand smoke. 8. Ability to read, write and understand English.
