Job Summary We are seeking a Field/Computer Technician to provide onsite repair and technical support for laptops, desktops, and related computer equipment throughout the metro and surrounding areas. The technician will respond to assigned service requests and perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of computer hardware, including hard drives, motherboards, keyboards, and PC peripherals. Responsibilities may also include whole-unit equipment swaps and resolving basic hardware and software issues. Candidates should have at least 1 year of hands-on laptop and desktop break-fix experience, along with a general understanding of computer hardware, software, and basic Microsoft applications. Computer-building or assembly experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in the field, communicating professionally with customers, and following established troubleshooting and service procedures. A reliable personal vehicle and valid car insurance are required, as this position involves traveling throughout the metro and surrounding service areas. Technicians will be responsible for updating and closing service tickets in real time through the Unisys Call Management system using a company-provided phone. Client and/or government clearance may be required, along with police or criminal background verification.
