Main Campus Duties Under general direction, the Applications Support Specialist is responsible for the maintenance and support of 3rd-party applications which integrate into and/or enhance the functionality of the college's ERP, Ellucian Colleague. Serving as a member of the Application & Web Services team, the Applications Support Specialist also assists with technical support over the phone and in person. The Applications Support Specialist is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning. Responsibilities include the following. Primary responsibility is third party software maintenance, administration, support and customer service. Work with vendor support personnel to resolve application issues. Work with other Information Technology staff to implement and maintain 3rd party software. Provide technical support over the phone and face-to-face Assist in testing and integrating 3rd party applications with the college ERP. Document third party application processes and procedures. Assist with software maintenance and activities. Assist in training college staff on installed software. Become familiar with available help resources Stay updated on campus technology changes. Direct calls to appropriate MVCC staff as necessary. Performs other related duties as assigned. Education/Experience Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 1-3 years' experience working in an end-user computing environment, and experience with PC and/or Apple Mac microcomputers required. Knowledge of computer operating system concepts and operation Knowledge of commonly used software, such as the Microsoft Office suite; hardware, and other equipment Knowledge of ERP, Ellucian Colleague and other systems helpful Knowledge of CRMs and ticketing systems is helpful Above average communication skills, and professional demeanor Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision Demonstrated analytical ability to logically approach problems Hours General hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Location:
Palos Hills, Illinois (USA) •This is a primarily on-site position. Alternative hybrid work schedule/remote opportunities may be available as applicable after probationary period. On call 24 hours a day - 7 days a week for emergencies. Employees must be a resident of IL/IN or reciprocal state.. Salary/Wage $54,160-$72,198 (plus exceptional benefits)
