Job Description

Position Summary:
Healthcare-ID, a software company specializing in blood donation software, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Representative to join our team. The IT Support Representative will provide essential support for Donor-ID, our innovative software platform designed to streamline blood donor management processes for blood centers. This role will be integral to ensuring the smooth operation of Donor-ID, assisting healthcare IT professionals with troubleshooting, and helping to maintain the integrity of the system. As part of our growing team, you will also have the opportunity to expand your skill set in coding and software development, contributing to the evolution of Healthcare-ID's software solution.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to users of Donor-ID, ensuring that blood collection organizations can effectively manage donor information and related processes.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to the Donor-ID software, including user access, data entry, and system integration problems.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Donor-ID software within blood collection organizations' IT environments.
  • Collaborate with development teams to escalate and resolve software bugs and issues affecting Donor-ID functionality.
  • Provide remote and on-site support to blood collection clients using Donor-ID, ensuring minimal disruptions to their workflows.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and software configurations in a comprehensive knowledge base.
  • Assist with software updates, patches, and new feature deployments to ensure that Donor-ID is running efficiently and securely.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service by providing timely responses and effective solutions for end users.
  • Train blood collection staff on how to use the Donor-ID platform effectively, including onboarding new users and providing ongoing support.
  • Track and manage inventory of software licenses, updates, and relevant IT assets used by clients of Donor-ID.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide customer service in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in web-based programming .
  • Microsoft operating systems knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with databases and SQL.
