A Help Desk Technician or Analyst provides technical support to computer users. Handles customer inquiries and works to resolve technical issues with computer hardware, software or networks. Provides customer support by phone, email, live chat or with screen sharing. May refer customers with complex system or application problems for more advanced technical support. Tracks help requests using a ticketing system.

Primary Job Duties include:
  • Quickly and accurately identify, sort, and pack computer components.
  • Regularly lift 20 to 75 lbs.
  • Working with Microsoft Windows command line and Linux Bash shell.
  • Resetting and testing Android and Apple iOS devices.
  • Repair, upgrade, and downgrade desktop and laptop PC's as needed to meet customer and client request.
  • Testing, destroying, and/or wiping device drive(s) in accordance with customer request and company policy.
  • Testing and resetting networking devices, such and switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Provide technical advice on technical component's usages and current market values.
This is a warehouse work environment where the temperature changes with the seasons.
Secondary Duties:
The following duties will also be a part of daily job functions:
  • Organizing and storing computer components.
  • Sorting, lifting, and moving of material with the use of material handling equipments.
  • Setting up, staging, packing and wrapping pallets and tri-wall boxes for shipment or storage.
  • Packing, weighing and preparing shipping labels of completed material.
  • Daily and weekly cleaning task. Qualification
  • CompTIA A+ certification, or 6 months in computer repair or computer technician preferred.
  • Education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent.
