Full-time About the Role The Air C2 Systems Maintainer Engineer provides specialized technical support to the United States Marine Corps' Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) within the Air Systems Team. This role serves as a subject matter expert for CAC2S, aviation C4I systems, and the Composite Tracking Network (CTN). The engineer ensures operational readiness, system interoperability, and reliable command and control capabilities for Marine Corps units in garrison, deployed environments, and major service-level exercises. Key Responsibilities CAC2S Support - Set up, configure, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain CAC2S components including Shellback, OPFAC, and the Communications Subsystem. CTN Integration - Configure and sustain CTN nodes, interfaces, and data-link pathways to ensure accurate track-sharing and sensor-fusion data across participating platforms. Conduct system diagnostics, fault isolation, and corrective maintenance to ensure maximum operational availability. Validate interoperability between CAC2S, CTN, and other aviation command and control systems during joint, coalition, and service-level events. Assist unit personnel with system employment, configuration management, and best-practice procedures. Coordinate with government engineers, program offices, and external stakeholders to resolve software, hardware, and network issues. Support fielding, upgrades, and capability insertion activities for Air C2 systems. Required Qualifications Active SECRET clearance. Hands-on experience with CAC2S, aviation C2 systems, or similar C4I platforms. Working knowledge of CTN architecture, data-link operations, or sensor-fusion networks. Strong background in system setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and sustainment. Ability to support units in dynamic environments, including field exercises and operational deployments. Familiarity with USMC aviation operations, airspace management, or integrated fires is preferred. Desired Skills Experience supporting Marine Corps aviation units or service-level exercises. Understanding of network architectures, tactical data links, and cross-domain solutions. Ability to produce technical documentation, system reports, and configuration guides.
