Job Description

We are looking for an engineer with strong Platform Engineering and backend microservices experience. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience developing and deploying microservices to Kubernetes and possesses a solid understanding of distributed system design.
Working hours:
overlap of 3-4 hours with PT zone Essential functions Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices, leveraging Kubernetes and containerized workflows to automate and streamline cloud-native application deployments. Build clean, secure, and performant REST and gRPC APIs while managing integration across distributed backend systems and external platforms. Implement robust authentication and authorization frameworks using OAuth2, JWT, and OIDC to ensure secure access across all services. Architecturalize systems for high availability, performance, and fault tolerance by applying proven resilience patterns, efficient database strategies (SQL/NoSQL), and scalability principles. Collaborate with data teams to design backend services that seamlessly connect with data engineering workflows, pipelines, and distributed processing systems. Qualifications Strong proficiency in Python with a proven track record of writing clean, production-ready, and maintainable backend code. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native tools for deploying and managing containerized applications at scale. In-depth understanding of distributed system architecture, including database design and optimization across SQL and/or NoSQL platforms. Practical experience designing APIs (REST/gRPC) and implementing modern identity management standards (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT). Demonstrated understanding of fault-tolerance patterns, performance tuning, and integrating backend platforms with data engineering/pipeline workflows.
