Overview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS
is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. Responsibilities Support Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) in Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of Fly-By-Wire (FBW) Ship Control Systems (SCS) for U.S. Navy submarines. Review engineering specifications, documents, drawings, and plans, Review system, software, and hardware test procedures. Witness Formal Qualification and System Acceptance Testing at land-based test facilities. Validate requirements. Perform Audits of computer software units. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or Computer Science field. Have an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance Proven experience working with US Navy submarine. At least 0 - 2 years of experience in: ​US Navy submarine Ship Control Systems. Computer programming Pay Transparency Statement

is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $85,000.00/Yr. - USD $95,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
