The RoleAre you an experienced Enterprise IT Architect looking for an exciting opportunity to shape the future of software development? Look no further than Kyndryl, where you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact as you lead the design and development of cutting-edge software applications. As a Software Engineering Architect at Kyndryl, you will be responsible for leading the charge in creating technical blueprints, defining product/solution architecture, and developing the technical specifications for our projects. You'll be a key player in integrating the features of our software applications into a cohesive and functioning system.
Key Responsibilities :
Design end-to-end application architecture using Java and microservices principlesDefine system components, integration patterns, and data flow across servicesCreate high-level (HLD) and low-level designs (LLD)Ensure architecture meets scalability, performance, and security requirementsDefine standards for Spring Boot-based microservicesGuide teams in building RESTful APIs and event-driven systemsEnsure best practices in API design, service discovery, and fault toleranceReview code and design for quality and maintainabilityDesign relational and/or NoSQL databases for high-volume transactionsDefine data models, schema design, indexing, and partitioning strategiesEnsure data integrity, consistency, and performance optimizationSupport data migration, archival, and reconciliation strategiesDesign integration with core banking and external systemsDefine messaging and event streaming patterns (Kafka, MQ, APIs)Ensure seamless integration with platforms like Temenos T24 or FinacleEnsure secure architecture (authentication, authorization, encryption)Align with banking regulatory and compliance requirementsImplement secure coding and data protection practicesYour analytical and creative mindset will be put to the test as you anticipate trends, stay up-to-date on leading technology, and participate in Kyndryl's architectural boards. Your expertise will guide functional objectives and technologies, and you'll be a driving force in evaluating, identifying, and developing software solutions.

In addition to your technical prowess, you'll also be a strong leader and communicator, able to train and oversee the activities of our development team. You'll foster a collaborative environment and work closely with Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Programmers, and Engineers to ensure our software solutions are meeting the needs of our business and our customers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 10 years of experience of relevant work experience in software architecture; out of them 8 -10 Years of Application Enterprise Architect
  • Strong experience in Java (8+) and Spring Boot
  • Proven expertise in microservices architecture
  • Solid experience in database design (Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL)
  • Knowledge of API design, REST, and event-driven architecture
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift)
  • Experience with Kafka / messaging systems
  • Knowledge of core banking systems like Temenos T24 or Finacle
  • Awareness of regulatory compliance (KYC, AML, audit)
  • Experience with performance tuning and monitoring tools
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Understanding of data security and encryption standardsPreferred Technical and Professional Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Java Certification / Azure Cloud Solution Architect Certification - Preferred
