PI:

Prof. Bo Wang) at the Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering has an opening for a Research Assistant (RA) position. The RA will assist the PI and students in their research and maintaining the lab. This RA will also be receiving research training while working at the Bo Wang lab. Duties/Responsibilities (with % for each duty): Preparing culture medium, cultivating microbial cells, performing PCR, constructing recombinant microbial strains, and analyzing the metabolites and bioproducts. Interpret data, and document findings to support research objective (80%) Help maintain the lab, such as by autoclaving the biowaste, washing and sterilizing glassware, restocking lab supplies, maintaining equipment cleanliness, and following established lab safety protocols and procedures, etc. (20%) Applications must be submitted online.
