Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit Enterprise Systems provides system design, implementation, and operation for enterprise services provided by ITS. Systems administrators design and deploy new solutions to ITS or external clients. The team consults with clients on their needs and provides recommendations on a design, then helps clients with the implementation of their service. Systems administrators provide Linux and Windows server architecture and management and operating system level maintenance. The team provides systems, storage, identity, and cloud management services. Position Summary The Infrastructure Team Lead serves as the senior technical leader for the Enterprise Systems Infrastructure Engineering and Architecture team in the Information Technology Services department, providing strategic direction, technical expertise, and operational oversight for enterprise infrastructure platforms and services. This position leads and mentors technical staff, coordinates team priorities, and ensures the reliability, security, and continuous improvement of infrastructure systems that support the University's mission. The team is responsible for delivering modern systems and storage infrastructure facilitating further solution development. This position is responsible for architecting cloud infrastructure and managing cloud and storage assets. This position is expected to be an expert in cloud technologies, must be capable of working with the latest cloud technologies, and provides technical leadership through cloud architecture. The Systems Engineering and Architecture team is part of the Enterprise Technology Infrastructure group that strives to connect, enable, and empower people through technology that transforms the University and the region. This position is eligible for full-time telework. Minimum Qualifications Mid-to late career with Masters and 2-4 yrs experience, or Bachelors and 3-5 yrs experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates Preferred Qualifications 2+ years experience with the Microsoft Azure data platform. 2+ years experience with Oracle and SQL Server RDBMS. Working knowledge of DevOps and Pipeline management. Experience with cloud-based data tools.
