Job Description
The AWS Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, validating, and governing secure, scalable, and cost‑effective solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role plays a critical part in solution shaping, pre‑sales engagements, and delivery transition, ensuring that AWS architectures are technically sound, commercially viable, and aligned to client business outcomes. The AWS Solutions Architect works closely with Sales, Data & AI Architects, Cloud Platform Teams, and Delivery to support cloud migration, modernization, digital transformation, and managed services engagements across industries. Key Responsibilities AWS Solution Architecture & Design Design end‑to‑end AWS solutions covering cloud foundation, networking, identity, security, compute, storage, and application platforms. Define architecture patterns for cloud migration, application modernization (microservices, containers, serverless), and platform engineering. Ensure alignment with AWS Well‑Architected Framework, security best practices, and enterprise governance standards. Produce solution artifacts including architecture diagrams, design documents, and non‑functional requirement mappings. Pre‑Sales & Deal Support Partner with Sales and Growth teams to shape AWS solution strategies for proposals, RFIs, and large pursuits. Contribute to effort estimation, assumptions, risk identification, and mitigation strategies. Support client presentations, technical deep dives, and executive solution walkthroughs. Delivery & Architecture Governance Provide architectural oversight during delivery to ensure solutions adhere to approved designs and AWS best practices. Guide delivery teams on implementation patterns, security controls, automation, and operational readiness. Support transition from solution design to steady‑state operations, including runbooks, observability, and resilience planning. Cloud Operations & Optimization Design for availability, resiliency, disaster recovery, performance, and scalability on AWS. Support FinOps and cost‑optimization strategies, including right‑sizing, tagging, and usage monitoring. Guide observability and monitoring designs using AWS native tools and partner ecosystems. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Collaborate with Data & AI, Security, Network, and Application teams to deliver integrated AWS solutions. Contribute to reference architectures, accelerators, reusable assets, and best‑practice documentation. Stay current on AWS services, certifications, and emerging cloud‑native patterns. Required Experience & Qualifications 10-14+ years of experience in cloud architecture, application architecture, or infrastructure design, with strong focus on AWS. Hands‑on experience designing solutions using AWS core services (VPC, EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch). Experience with application modernization, cloud migration, and DevSecOps practices. Strong understanding of security, networking, and non‑functional requirements in enterprise environments. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Preferred Attributes Experience with containers (EKS), serverless architectures, and event‑driven designs. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (CloudFormation / Terraform). Exposure to Data, Analytics, or AI workloads on
