Job Description We're looking for a senior F5 engineer who has owned an enterprise F5 platform, can assess whether it's configured correctly, identify opportunities to improve it, support Tier 3 escalations, and help drive ongoing modernization efforts including VELOS and broader platform optimization initiatives. Morning Operations & Platform Health

•  Review platform health, performance, and monitoring dashboards
•  Investigate Tier 3 escalations from support and operations teams
•  Troubleshoot complex load balancing, application delivery, authentication, or connectivity issues
•  Review alerts and identify recurring operational concerns Environment Reviews & Assessments
•  Analyze current F5 configurations and profiles
•  Evaluate whether applications are configured according to best practices
•  Review WAF policies, load balancing configurations, DNS/GTM settings, and traffic routing
•  Identify risks, inefficiencies, or unused capabilities within the platform Improvement & Project Work
•  Recommend changes to improve performance, security, and reliability
•  Support the organization's migration toward

F5 VELOS

•  Assist with authentication modernization initiatives, including Entra ID integrations
•  Design enhancements to monitoring, automation, and operational processes
•  Work with network, infrastructure, security, and application teams to implement improvements Platform Optimization
•  Increase utilization of existing F5 capabilities
•  Improve visibility, monitoring, and reporting
•  Help automate repetitive operational tasks

Experience evaluating platform health, reviewing configurations and profiles, identifying gaps, and making recommendations to improve performance, scalability, security, monitoring, and operational efficiency.

Extensive troubleshooting experience involving:

•  Network Security Hands-on experience securing enterprise applications through

F5 APM, ASM/AWAF, AFM, WAF

policies, authentication controls, and access management solutions. Experience supporting authentication modernization initiatives, including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), SSO, and IAM integrations. Experience performing root cause analysis and serving as a Tier 3 / highest-level escalation point for critical application delivery issues. Experience with automation using Ansible, REST APIs, Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or similar technologies. Experience developing or supporting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps-related initiatives. Experience creating, modifying, and troubleshooting F5 iRules and iRulesLX. Experience supporting

implementations, migrations, or modernization programs.
