5+ years leading or mentoring technical teams What you would do Typical responsibilities could include: Designing enterprise system architectures, defining technology strategy and establishing patterns that scale across complex environments Leading the translation of business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and long-term technology vision Conducting architecture reviews, defining design standards and mentoring technical teams on architectural best practices Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to shape technical direction and ensure solutions support business outcomes Documenting architecture decisions, creating system models using industry standards such as UML, and communicating technical vision to both technical and non-technical audiences Staying current with emerging technologies and evaluating their potential impact on enterprise systems What you could bring Most roles of this type require the following: Must-have 10-15 years of experience in systems architecture, enterprise solution design or equivalent technical leadership 5+ years leading or mentoring technical teams Deep knowledge of architecture patterns, system design principles and enterprise integration approaches Strong experience with UML and architecture modeling methodologies TOGAF 9 Certified or equivalent enterprise architecture qualification AWS Certified Solutions Architect or comparable cloud architecture certification Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field Authorization to work in the United States Nice-to-have Experience across multiple cloud platforms or hybrid environments Background in DevOps practices and infrastructure as code Track record of mentoring architects or senior engineers What roles of this type could offer Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role: The opportunity to shape technical strategy and influence the direction of enterprise systems at meaningful scale Scope to mentor and develop technical talent, building architectural capability within teams Engagement with complex, multi-layered systems challenges requiring deep systems thinking The potential to establish architectural standards and define the technical vision that others build upon Exposure to emerging technologies and the opportunity to evaluate and recommend solutions for enterprise adoption Professional growth in a contract role offering flexibility and the chance to work across different organizational contexts About Specialist Staffing Group Specialist Staffing Group is a leading recruitment partner for architecture and technical leadership roles.
