Remote Tech Lead

Job Description Overview:

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead to oversee the end-to-end implementation of a new platform for an employer portal. This project spans across applications and is delivered on cloud technology within GCP. The portal will serve as a single point of entry for commercial clients to perform various activities to administer their plans

Responsibilities:

•  Lead the implementation of the new platform from start to finish, ensuring all components are connected and integrated seamlessly.
•  Define development processes/pipelines that leverage the groups enterprise tooling to optimize productivity of developers
•  Lead matrixed team of up to 20 onshore/offshore developers which includes technical oversight/code reviews
•  Establish automated processes (in tools such as github copilot) and testing framework to ensure code meets quality standards (including performance testing)
•  Design and implement of BFF layers to support integrations
•  Design application architecture and complete proof of concept/proof of technology as needed
•  Collaborate with external teams such as solution architecture, enterprise devops team, cloud engineering, infrastructure, etc
•  Operational DB design throughout conceptual, logical and physical modeling
•  Establish best in class Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices - doesn't focus on it but that's with devops
•  Create and maintain system design diagrams as reference architecture
•  Be the main point of contact between the architecture team and the developers

Tech Stack:

•  Front-end development: React/TypeScript
•  Back-end development: Integration and orchestration using Java/Springboot
•  Creation of SQL, DML/DDL, performance tuning and optimization with PostgreSQL or similar
•  Strong knowledge of cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes and serverless computing
•  Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform)
•  Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Prisma, secrets mgt, etc - CI/CD, git hub pipeline for code quality they use sonar We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.

•  12 + years of experience (must be strong in a cloud environment)
•  5+ years of experience in a leadership role, guiding teams in the design and implementation of complex software systems (preferably in large enterprise)
•  Proven experience in building and maintaining large-scale applications using React and Java
•  Extensive experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture for backend integration.
•  Proven experience in leading complex cloud migration or modernization projects while optimizing user experiences
•  Deep understanding of networking, storage, and database architectures in cloud environments
