Akkodis is seeking a Senior System Engineer for a Direct Hire with a client in White Plains, NY (Hybrid). The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong AWS expertise and relevant certifications, capable of recommending scalable solutions and partnering with DevOps and architecture teams to accelerate the organization's cloud-first future state.

Salary Range:

$110K/Yearly to $130K/Yearly; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Senior System Engineer Job Responsibilities include: Drive cloud modernization, optimization, and transformation initiatives with a primary focus on AWS infrastructure and services. Support and maintain hybrid environments, leveraging both cloud and traditional on-premises infrastructure technologies. Evaluate, recommend, and implement scalable cloud solutions that align with business objectives and future-state technology strategies. Partner closely with DevOps Engineers and Architects to ensure infrastructure solutions are secure, reliable, and operationally sound. Assist with cloud migration efforts, application modernization, and the decommissioning of legacy technologies as the organization advances its cloud-first strategy. Utilize CI/CD and automation tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps to improve operational efficiency, deployment processes, and infrastructure management.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Administration, or a related role. Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management; AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner required, with AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred. Experience supporting both cloud and traditional on-premises environments, with exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
