This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, Michigan three times per week, at minimum.

The Role:

We are looking for software developers with a strong passion for developing software tools and the engineering process to enable a global software organization. The job will leverage agile methodology to develop GM in house tooling for software and system modelling automation scripts enabling vehicle controller development work. The main responsibility will include integration , readiness of ECU interface generation to GM internal software and algorithm engineers. This job also involves providing technical guidance to GM Business owners for any new process and tooling support for SDV architectures.

What You'll Do:

• Software developer for an agile scrum team responsible for in house Java based Rhapsody modelling tool for software and system engineering for SDV2 architecture Design and Implement Middleware code generation to support controller builds Mange and implement Jenkins pipeline for automated generation of CICD artifacts . Manage and perform smoke testing for tools capabilities supported every program increment . Maintain evaluation and production tools release process to GM Internal users. Develop and test Java scripts for automation of software and system engineering models as per GM Modelling standards that support the engineering organization. Active participation as an SME to Identity, Design, and implement workflow modifications with multiple business teams and business application extensions Provide support in analyzing and resolving user issues related to serial data and diagnostics communication between ECUs. Leads and generates technical solutions including specifying of requirements, functional decomposition, analysis, development and testing for current and new and major projects. Specifies and balances system requirements within engineering and IT environments. Key role in formalizing tooling process documents and training materials. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications): Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred) or related field 2+ years of experience in automotive industry.

Demonstrated proficiency with programming language:

Java Knowledge of

SDV AUTOSAR

methodologies. Experience with open-source tooling (Git, GitHub, Jenkins, JIRA, etc.) Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-change environment with an initiative demonstrated by reaching beyond assigned work to improve output. What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Skills): Master's degree in Engineering (Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred) or related field 5+ years of experience in automotive industry. Demonstrated experience system engineering modelling tools. Java developer with strong experience with Java Swing, Java SWT / Java AWT / Java FX Understanding of Automotive Embedded Systems Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML) Experience with Product Line Engineering (PLE) principles
