Raytheon is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager. The selected candidate will be a member of a specialized engineering team responsible for ensuring and maintaining system performance requirements, providing system problem/anomaly resolution support, data trending, and performance analysis. The system engineering team provides program/unique expertise to support the greater engineering team with performing system maintenance activities, providing specialized knowledge/experience to support various projects or resolve complex problems, and supporting the operations certification training program in areas of expertise.Location:
Buckley AFB, CO (Aurora, CO) What You Will Do- Assignments can involve a combination of engineering, system analysis and training related tasks.
- Engineering tasks and responsibilities will include system dynamics, analysis, and determination.
- Development and improvement of operations processes/products/tools; investigation and diagnosis of unexpected system signatures.
- Support the coordination and execution of system maintenance tasks.
- Provide technical support and feedback to the baseline system development/maintenance team to improve delivered processes and tools.
- Coordination across multiple sites, multiple contractor organizations, with the customer, and with our external system partners to diligently accomplish all tasks.
- Maintains and sometimes develops code to update/produce tools to support overall system operations or specialized tools to support system analyst duties.
- Training tasks and responsibilities include development, maintenance and upgrades to training materials and to providing classroom lectures on the fundamentals/processes related to this position.
- This is a certified position, which requires successful completion of the program's overall system training; as well as specialized training on the unique knowledge, processes, tools, and tasks necessary to perform the job duties for this position.
- Due to the critical nature of this position, the selected candidate is required to provide shared on-call support (typically 1-week every month) and be willing to work off-nominal hours to include nights, weekends, holidays, and possible shifts.
- Must be able to work as an effective member of a badge less team, be self-motivated and work under minimal supervision while coordinating and performing assigned.
- Extended TDYs or PCS to the United Kingdom for work. Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior related engineering experience or equivalent experience.
- Experience with coding/scripting fundamentals.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps tools and practices.
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF), Digital, Power, and/or Communication systems in a large 24x7 operational environment.
- Experience with technical leadership and/or personnel leadership.
- An active and transferable
TS/SCI CI
Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance. Qualifications We Pre fer- Experience delivering presentations.
- Experience proactively completing assigned tasks and identify/work real-time/high priority tasks without direction.
- Experience with managing and resolving large system anomalies in a team environment.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures, products and training materials.
- Experience in system dynamics, analysis, and determination.
- Experience in coding/scripting.
