1 year Required Skills (Must-Haves):- We are looking for a hands-on ZPA implementation expert who can be the client's technical point person throughout the deployment.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Zscaler ZPA (ZTNA) Subject Matter Expert to serve as a key member of the implementation team for an enterprise Zscaler Private Access deployment. The initial architecture and design will be completed by Zscaler and/or an implementation partner. This role will serve as the primary technical interface between the client and the implementation partner, working closely with both teams throughout the deployment to ensure a successful implementation. The ZPA SME will remain engaged for the duration of the deployment, providing technical guidance, coordination, validation, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer. Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary client-facing technical resource for the ZPA implementation.
- Work alongside the Zscaler implementation partner/subcontractor throughout the deployment.
- Act as the technical liaison between the client's internal teams and the implementation partner.
- Develop a strong understanding of the established ZPA architecture and help ensure it is implemented as intended.
- Participate hands-on in the configuration, deployment, testing, and validation of ZPA.
- Support configuration of App Connectors, application segments, server groups, segment groups, access policies, and related ZPA components.
- Coordinate with client networking, security, identity, infrastructure, and application teams as needed throughout deployment.
- Support identity and authentication integrations, including SAML, MFA, and enterprise identity providers.
- Assist with application onboarding, testing, troubleshooting, and migration to ZPA.
- Identify technical issues, dependencies, and deployment risks and work with the appropriate teams to drive resolution.
- Provide limited design guidance or configuration recommendations when requirements evolve during deployment.
- Remain engaged following the implementation partner's involvement as needed to support stabilization, troubleshooting, and transition to operations.
- Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to the client's internal teams. Required Experience
- Strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) in enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience participating in enterprise-scale ZPA deployments, not solely ongoing administration.
- Strong understanding of ZTNA and Zero Trust security concepts.
- Hands-on knowledge of ZPA App Connectors, application segmentation, access policies, and application onboarding.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, routing, firewalls, proxies, and application connectivity.
- Experience integrating ZPA with enterprise identity and authentication platforms such as Entra ID/Azure AD, Okta, SAML, and MFA.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across networking, security, identity, and application environments.
- Experience working with third-party implementation partners and cross-functional client teams.
- Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues and coordinate across multiple teams.
