Job Description

Role Summary A senior systems integration engineer is responsible for leading the design, planning, and execution of complex network infrastructure and software projects supporting national airspace systems. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, mitigating technical risks, and ensuring successful project delivery across full lifecycle phases. The position requires deep technical expertise and strategic coordination to meet operational objectives and long-term goals in a high-security environment. Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end execution of network infrastructure and software integration projects from conception through deployment. Coordinate with radio access network (RAN), hardware, software, and systems integration teams, as well as external vendors, to deliver on project goals on schedule and at scale. Identify, monitor, and mitigate technical risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks in network deployment activities. Translate strategic objectives into actionable technical deliverables aligned with operational priorities and timelines. Communicate project status, risks, and milestones effectively to stakeholders and senior leadership through dashboards, briefings, and reports. Manage program scope, schedule, and resources to ensure successful completion within budget constraints. Oversee technical documentation, testing, and validation activities to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain compliance with security requirements and clearance protocols throughout project execution. Foster cross-team collaboration to address technical challenges and ensure seamless integration. Stay informed of emerging trends and technologies relevant to telecommunications and network infrastructure. Qualifications Active Public Trust security clearance at the time of hire. This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. Under federal law, eligibility for a security clearance generally requires U.S. citizenship. Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure planning. At least 5 years of experience leading complex, large-scale projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders. Strong knowledge of core networking protocols including BGP, TCP/IP, MPLS, and IPv6. Experience with optical networking, data center environments, and server hardware deployments. Working knowledge of cloud networking solutions across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Expertise in capacity planning, network modeling, and aligning technical decisions with budget considerations.
Highly desirable:
PMP certification. Ability to obtain FAA suitability clearance. This is an onsite role based in Herndon, VA, and requires physical presence at the office.
Publishing Pay Range:
$45.00 - $50.00 hourly This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
