Employment Type:

Full-Time Build Security Into the Future of Technology We're looking for a Security Architect to serve as a senior technical authority across enterprise information security. This is an opportunity to shape how security is designed, implemented, and governed across a complex, global technology environment. You'll partner closely with infrastructure, cloud, application, data, and business teams to bring a security-by-design mindset to technology decisions — while also helping define the organization's long-term security architecture strategy. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both big-picture architecture and hands-on technical problem solving, and who is excited about emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and agentic systems. What You'll Do

Define and continuously improve the organization's Security Architecture operating model, including engagement processes, services, and integration with technology delivery teams

Develop forward-looking security roadmaps aligned with business priorities, technology strategy, risk, and the evolving threat landscape

Establish and govern enterprise security standards, architectural principles, reference architectures, and reusable security patterns

Evaluate emerging technologies — including AI/ML and agentic systems — and develop appropriate security controls, governance, and risk-management approaches

Partner with technology teams during architecture reviews, solution design, technology selection, and major initiatives to embed security early in the lifecycle

Provide security architecture expertise across cloud, infrastructure, networking, applications, data, and identity

Assess proposed architectures and solutions against enterprise security standards, risk tolerance, and architectural requirements

Provide technical leadership around security tooling, integration, coverage, and enterprise capabilities

Help identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to scale security architecture activities, including design analysis, documentation, and architecture reviews

Maintain awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements such as PCI, SOX, GDPR, and CCPA

Serve as a trusted Security Architecture SME for senior technology and business stakeholders Why This Opportunity? This is more than a traditional security architecture role. You'll have the opportunity to define architecture standards, influence enterprise technology strategy, modernize security practices, and help shape the organization's approach to emerging technologies. If you're a Security Architect who wants to operate at both the strategic and technical levels, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful enterprise-wide impact. For immediate consideration, and direct message Reid Gormly on LinkedIn Requirements What You'll Bring + 8+ years of progressive experience across information security, systems, networking, infrastructure, software engineering, or related technology disciplines

Broad enterprise understanding of security and IT architecture

Strong experience with one or more major cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP

Understanding of application architecture, SDLC, infrastructure, networking, data protection, privacy, and identity/access management

Hands-on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IPS, WAF, endpoint protection, SIEM, and log-management platforms

Strong understanding of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS security considerations

Experience developing security standards, policies, architectural governance, reference architectures, and technical documentation

Ability to translate highly complex security and technology concepts into practical guidance for both technical and business audiences

Demonstrated ability to evaluate competing technical options and make sound risk-based decisions

Interest in applying AI and automation to improve security architecture and engineering processes

Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence teams without relying solely on formal authority

Excellent communication, documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment while managing multiple strategic priorities Preferred Qualifications

GIAC, ISC2, or comparable security certifications

Experience designing security architecture in large, globally distributed environments

Experience establishing or maturing an enterprise Security Architecture function

Experience evaluating security implications of emerging AI technologies and agentic systems

Experience working across multiple security and technology domains rather than specializing in a single security discipline Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
