ABOUT THE ROLE
The role will drive cybersecurity strategy through software engineering, automation, and emerging AI capabilities, including agentic workflows and AI-enabled security services. A core focus for this Staff Software Engineer, Information Security role will be on driving automation, codification of processes, and building unique services to enable cutting-edge cybersecurity practices across the organization. This position will have the unique ability to build enterprise-grade software that transforms information security practices. As part of the role, you will explore how LLMs, AI agents, tool-calling, and emerging interoperability standards can safely automate and augment cybersecurity at enterprise scale. We are interested in someone who is willing to challenge the status quo. How can we automate driving "zero-trust" into enterprise architecture? How can we enhance patching and vulnerability management? How can we automate identification of security issues and their remediations? How can AI be applied to information security? A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver cybersecurity strategy through software engineering and automation
Implement solutions that create visibility into both on-prem and cloud environments
Automate security workflows using AI agents, MCP servers, and emerging technologies
Build security software and micro-services to be consumed by internal teams
Design, build, and maintain API infrastructure that will integrate with multi-platform applications
Support and advise colleagues in solving software engineering problems and maintaining solutions
Propose innovative solutions to mitigate cybersecurity problems
Collaborate with peers and internal customers on innovative solutions
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Typically, 7+ years of Software Engineering experience, including:
Creating high-quality production-grade services
Building enterprise-grade solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Effectively using AI coding agents and AI-assisted software development workflows
Software development utilizing Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python
Development utilizing modern application development frameworks
Different data storage options, SQL and NoSQL databases, key-value, data lakes, etc.
Building AI-enabled security systems with tool use, evaluation, and guardrails
Working knowledge of enterprise networking and IT infrastructure
Curiosity and passion for security
Collaborative approach to working with software engineers, enterprise IT staff, and network engineers
Belief that any process that is repeated may be a candidate for automation
A knack for simplifying processes and low-friction security
Dedication to healthy and mature software development practices
Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace a minimum of 3 days per week is an essential function of the position. Selected candidate must be able to reliably meet this requirement.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $143.00-190.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
