Type:

full-time TrustThink is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the engineering and modernization of cryptographic systems. You'll work across the lifecycle, from architecture, modeling, and simulation through software integration, testing, and deployment.

Responsibilities may include:

• Designing and documenting system architectures, interfaces, and operational flows
• Developing system models, diagrams, and engineering artifacts using SysML and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices
• Performing modeling and simulation to analyze system behavior, interactions, and performance
• Working with cryptographic systems, key management, and secure communications
• Supporting cryptographic modernization efforts, including the transition to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and crypto-agile architectures
• Developing and integrating application software, particularly in C++
• Supporting integration, testing, and deployment of new capabilities
• Solving complex systems problems in support of national security missions
• Working with specialized cryptographic equipment and key-loading environments

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• At least 4 years of relevant engineering experience
• Strong systems engineering fundamentals
• Experience with system architecture, development processes, interfaces, and technical modeling/diagramming
• Experience with SysML, MBSE, modeling, or simulation
• Software development experience; C++ preferred
• Working knowledge of cryptography, cybersecurity, or secure systems
• Active U.

S. Government Secret clearance required Experience with SKLs, ECUs, key management systems, cryptographic devices, or PQC is a plus, but not required. The position level will be based on experience.
