Position Summary:
Saalex Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Administrator (Journeyman) to support the SSAT Program under the
TARIF TSS
Contract. The selected candidate will administer, secure, configure, and sustain Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) mission systems supporting engineering, software integration, developmental testing, and operational readiness. The successful candidate will develop secure operating system baselines, deploy standardized system images, support cybersecurity compliance, and collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and Government personnel to maintain mission-ready computing environments.
Essential Functions:
Administer Windows 10/11, Windows Server, and
RHEL 8/9
systems. Develop and maintain secure Windows and Linux baseline images. Create Windows Answer Files (Unattend.xml) and Linux Kickstart deployment files. Install, configure, patch, and troubleshoot operating systems and mission software. Execute ACAS and SCAP scans and remediate vulnerabilities. Apply and maintain DISA STIGs and support RMF compliance. Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and privileged user accounts. Support VMware, Hyper-V, backups, disaster recovery, and system lifecycle maintenance. Troubleshoot network connectivity, VPNs, routers, switches, and firewalls. Develop PowerShell or Bash scripts to automate administration tasks. Document system configurations and support engineering integration and software releases. Travel as required to support laboratory integration, testing, and field activities.
Requirements Required:
Meet applicable DoD 8140/DCWF requirements for a privileged systems administrator. Three (3) or more years of Windows and/or Linux systems administration experience. Experience supporting DoD or similarly regulated computing environments. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Desired:
Windows 10/11 and Windows Server experience. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience. Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, IAM experience. MDT, WDS, PXE, Windows Answer Files, Kickstart experience. VMware or Hyper-V experience.
ACAS, SCAP, DISA
STIGs, RMF experience. PowerShell, Bash, Python (preferred) experience. Engineering lab, developmental test, or mission systems experience. NAVAIR, NAWCWD, or Test & Evaluation experience.
Education:
3-10 years of relevant experience with the required certifications, or 3-5 years of relevant experience with a BA/BS degree, or An MA/MS degree with less than 3 years of experience.
Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance required.
