OVERVIEW OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
The South San Francisco Unified School District (SSFUSD) community includes 15 schools supporting 8,000 students in Daly City, San Bruno, and South San Francisco. Our mission is that in partnership with our community, SSFUSD will provide exceptional instruction, engaging experiences, and equitable and accessible opportunities and resources to further support our diverse student body so that students are equipped to learn, thrive, navigate their future with purpose, and impact their community. In February 2024, the School Board for SSFUSD adopted our new Vision and Five-Year Strategic Plan. As a senior leader, the Director will be responsible for leading and supporting initiatives to ensure the district delivers on its promises in the Strategic Plan.

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Technology, the Technology Manager oversees districtwide technology operations, including network infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, endpoint support, and technology service delivery. The Manager provides leadership, long-term strategic planning, and advanced technical expertise to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing technology environments that support teaching, learning, and district operations. This position manages technical staff, coordinates projects, aligns technology solutions with district goals, and ensures compliance with state and federal data privacy regulations. The Technology Manager serves as a key technology leader, fostering innovation, customer service, and continuous improvement.
Education and Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, IS, Cybersecurity, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in network, systems, cybersecurity, or infrastructure engineering. Minimum 3 years of supervisory or lead experience.
Preferred:
Experience in K-12 or public-sector environments Advanced cybersecurity, cloud, or systems experience Experience with VMware/Hyper‑V, JAMF, Intune, or similar platforms
