Junior Security Analyst Location:

We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Security Analyst to join our growing Security Operations team. This role is ideal for an early-career cybersecurity professional who wants to gain hands-on experience in security operations, compliance, risk management, and threat monitoring while working alongside experienced cybersecurity leaders. What You'll Do As a Junior Security Analyst, you'll help protect Vector Choice and our clients by supporting day-to-day security operations, compliance initiatives, risk management efforts, and security best practices across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
Monitor and support internal and external systems for security events and operational issues. Assist with incident management, threat detection, and problem resolution. Perform security audits and compile reports identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities. Support compliance initiatives, security policies, and security control implementation. Maintain risk registers and assist with remediation planning. Participate in project security reviews and change management assessments. Support company-wide security awareness and training programs. Maintain documentation related to security operations, procedures, and compliance requirements. Help ensure security and privacy controls are consistently applied across systems, applications, and data. Support business continuity and disaster recovery processes through documentation and testing. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to improve security posture. Assist Service Desk and technical teams with security-related escalations when needed. Participate in an after-hours support rotation approximately one week per month. Required QualificationsNon-Negotiable Requirements Active CompTIA Security+ certification (required). Applicants without a current Security+ certification will not be considered. Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Preferred Qualifications Previous IT support, MSP, SOC, help desk, or cybersecurity experience. Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud security concepts. Experience working with security monitoring tools, endpoint protection platforms, or SIEM solutions. Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as CIS, NIST, HIPAA, or SOC 2. Additional certifications such as Network+, CySA+, SSCP, Microsoft Security Certifications, or similar credentials.
