Job Description
Description The Sr IAM Engineer is a hands-on individual contributor responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining identity governance and access management solutions across the enterprise. This role builds application integrations, automates identity lifecycle processes and implements secure authentication and access controls for corporate systems and applications. The engineer partners with cross-disciplinary Security teams, Application Development, HR Systems, IT Operations and IT Infrastructure, providing technical leadership and influencing solutions across the organization without direct reports. IAM Platform Engineering and Application Integration:
o Design, configure and maintain application integrations within the IGA platform, including schemas, aggregation, correlation and provisioning. o Integrate applications using standard connectors, APIs, SCIM, databases, transforms and custom rules or scripts. o Troubleshoot integration issues across the IGA platform and connected systems, partnering with application teams and vendors as needed.Authentication and Privileged Access:
o Implement and maintain authentication solutions, including Entra SSO integrations using SAML or OpenID Connect, MFA and related access controls. o Support PAM platform operations and ensure privileged accounts are appropriately controlled, monitored and audited. o Implement identity and privileged access controls based on established security requirements and risk decisions.Identity Governance and Lifecycle Management:
o Design roles, workflows, approvals and access certifications in line with IAM best practices. o Implement and maintain provisioning, access changes and deprovisioning throughout the identity lifecycle. o Automate governance and lifecycle processes to improve accuracy, efficiency and compliance.Operations and Continuous Improvement:
o Troubleshoot complex identity and access issues and support the team's operational ticket queue. o Identify and implement opportunities to reduce manual effort and operational risk through automation. o Maintain documentation and reporting that supports IAM operations, access certifications and audit requests.Collaboration and Technical Leadership:
o Partner with Security teams, Application Development, HR Systems, IT Operations and IT Infrastructure teams to deliver identity solutions that meet business and security requirements. o Advise stakeholders on secure access patterns and contribute technical guidance to architecture discussions. o Mentor IAM engineers and analysts and provide training to internal teams and end users.What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
o 5 years of IAM engineering experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on SailPoint engineering experience. Identity Security Cloud experience is strongly preferred, but deep IdentityIQ integration experience may be considered. o Demonstrated experience building and troubleshooting IGA application integrations, including source configuration, schemas, aggregation, correlation, provisioning, transforms, workflows and rules. o Experience integrating applications through APIs, SCIM, databases and other connection methods using PowerShell, Java, Python or similar tools. o Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Entra ID, including implementing SSO integrations using SAML or OpenID Connect. o Ability to independently investigate unfamiliar systems, solve problems in ambiguous situations and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. o Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Preferred Qualifications:
o Experience with privileged access management solutions such as Entra PIM, CyberArk or PAM360. o Experience building AI-powered agents or automation solutions using APIs, tool integrations, orchestration frameworks or enterprise data sources Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cincinnati, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $90.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
