•This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)" The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Wing Chief of Informion Protection Air Nional Guard facilities. Accountable for achieving program goals and objectives across multiple functions and disciplines and providing a focused, seamless, and supportive environment for protecting informion in order to conduct effective air, space and cyberspace operions. Chairs the Wing Security Advisory Group (WSAG) or facsimile and directs activities of its diverse membership to develop risk assessments and analyses. Advises the Commander on risk assessments and recommends risk avoidance/mitigion. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigion. THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION OPEN TO AREAS OF CONSIDERATION
(AOC) 1 ONLY. This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)", Area 1 : Current employees (Tenure 1 and 2 / internal to the Agency) Area 2 : All other applicants (external to the Agency).
• Temporary and Indefinite employees do not meet permanent tenure requirements and are not eligible for Area 1.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
: All Series GS-0080 personnel must be certified the next higher level before being eligible for th level . Each applicant must have the educion and valided understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupional series and grade for one of the seven organizional program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career level, as cited on page two. Applicants must have the experiences, educion, or training th demonstres the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulions, and procedures.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
: Defined as progressively responsible work th demonstres the candide's full competency (Knowledge, Skill, Ability, and Behaviors) to perform tasks and responsibilities as described in the pertinent position description. It includes military administrion, military security, and/or personnel management experience th prepares the applicant to perform the duties and responsibilities to achieve the required competency levels as defined by the applicable position description.
OTHER QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
: Dependent on the authorized full-time position's organizional locion and its required compible manpower directed military skill assignment, applicant must have a current Single Scope Background Investigion according to Army or Air Force Personnel Security Program Management Directives; or, must possess or be able to obtain a Nional Agency Check, Local Agency Checks and Credit (NACLC) according to applicable DoD Instructions, Army or Air Force regulions, upon appointment.

1. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty stion on military or commercial aircraft. 2. This is a drug testing designed position. The incumbent is subject to random drug testing. 3. The employee required to obtain and maintain a TS-SCI security clearance.
•4. Irregular and/or overtime (compensory) hours may be required to support operional requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. 5. Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certificion (SFPC), Security Program Integrion Professional Certificion (SPIPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certificion (SAPPC) conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment de to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accredition and Certificion. The listed certificion requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their deleged security career field representive.
•6. This position is designed as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparion for, or in response to, a ste emergency or disaster declarion. Head of Agency requests to exceed 14 days in a calendar year must be approved in advance by the Nional Guard, Director of Manpower and Personnel (NGB-J1)
