Job Description

Our client, a leading global provider of technology, engineering, and consulting services, is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join their team. As a Lead Data Engineer , you will be part of the Data Transformation Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

$135,000 - $175,000 What's the Job? Oversee the end-to-end migration of Teradata workloads to Azure/Databricks, ensuring seamless transition across multiple business domains such as gaming, loyalty, and resort operations. Coordinate delivery teams, stakeholders, and technology partners to modernize the data ecosystem supporting guest personalization, revenue optimization, and enterprise analytics. Establish and maintain disciplined delivery governance aligned with client's PMO, including risk management, status reporting, and operational readiness. Guide technical teams in migration planning, execution, and alignment to target-state Azure data architecture, including Data Lake Storage and secure data-sharing patterns. Drive data profiling, validation, and KPI alignment to ensure data quality and support business confidence in analytics outputs. What's Needed? Proven experience leading large-scale Teradata modernization, migration, or decommissioning programs in complex enterprise environments. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure Data Lake Storage, and experience with Azure Databricks and Spark-based engineering. Excellent SQL skills with the ability to guide teams through data profiling, transformation, and reconciliation processes. Experience managing multi-workstream delivery programs with onshore and offshore teams, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders. Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex technical topics into clear, business-friendly language for senior leadership. What's in it for me?
