We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to serve as the technical lead for our Identity & Access Management (IAM) back-end data engineering team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable back-end systems, APIs, data pipelines, and integrations that support IAM governance, compliance, reporting, and operational initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in Azure, SQL, APIs, Databricks, data lakes, and enterprise integrations, coupled with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. This individual will drive architecture decisions, mentor developers, ensure data integrity across IAM platforms, and translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights for leadership, including executive audiences.

Working closely with Security, Infrastructure, DevOps, and IAM leadership, the Lead Data Engineer will lead the delivery of secure, compliant, and scalable solutions while promoting engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and alignment with enterprise IAM strategy. This role is approximately 70% hands-on development and architecture and 30% leadership, mentorship, and stakeholder engagement.

Compensation:

$55/hr to $70/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise back-end applications and services.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership, lead developer, or solution architecture role.
  • Strong experience with SQL and relational database design (preferably experience migrating from SQL database to Azure Databricks)
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services
  • Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs, data pipelines, and enterprise integrations.
  • Experience working with Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and large-scale data processing environments.
  • Experience with PowerBI
  • Strong understanding of IAM principles, identity governance, access management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, release management, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience developing automation solutions using PowerShell and JavaScript.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience supporting Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms.

Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise IAM systems.

Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and enterprise reporting solutions.

Experience supporting access certification, attestation, and audit programs.

Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Experience operating within large, complex enterprise environments.

Microsoft Azure certifications or cloud architecture certifications.

Experience leading Agile development teams and technical roadmaps.
