Job Description

Our Data Engineers help Delta Defense turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that support smarter business decisions. This hands-on role builds reliable data solutions, supports our Enterprise Data Warehouse, and helps make KPIs, metrics, and reporting more accessible across the business.
Essentials Duties & Responsibilities:
Work within systems and infrastructures that collect and process data in order to create clean, tested, and reusable datasets ready for analysis. Contribute to established standards for performing data transformations and ensure adherence of the rules and requirements for the formats and attributes of data. Support standards around data quality by maintaining and enhancing data profiling methodologies. Maintain engineering best practices around CI/CD, unit testing, performance testing and optimization. Partner directly with the Data Architecture team to ensure the quality and consistency of the data model. Leverage existing data infrastructure to fulfill all data-related requests, perform necessary data housekeeping, data cleansing, normalization, hashing, and implementation of required data model changes. Analyze data to spot anomalies, trends and correlate similar data sets. Troubleshoots problems, identifies possible solutions, and resolves accordingly. Develop a strong understanding and awareness of best practices related to PII, adherence to Risk policies and standards as set forth by the organization. All other duties as assigned
Required Experience & Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science/Analytics, statistics, or equivalent relevant experience 2-5 years of experience in data engineering or business intelligence roles 3-5 years of SQL experience Ability to work efficiently within AWS cloud technologies such as S3, EMR preferred 1+ years experience in Agile SDLC 1+ years dbt experience preferred Solid understanding of ETL/ELT methodologies Proficiency with Python and scripting languages preferred Solid understanding of industry standard analytical modeling techniques Demonstrates the Core Values of Delta Defense, LLC Working conditions This position is located at our HQ in West Bend, WI.
