JSL Technologies is seeking personnel to provide Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Cost (RAM-C) data analytics/science, supportability analysis, and sustainment engineering support for Navy programs. This position supports readiness analysis, system design reviews, stakeholder coordination, and technical reporting at the Port Hueneme Division Government site.- Collect, validate, analyze, and interpret RAM-C, readiness, supportability, and fleet operational data across assigned Navy programs and platforms.
- Identify failure modes, systemic trends, and root causes affecting reliability, maintainability, availability, and operational readiness; develop actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and apply analytical methods, including machine learning techniques where appropriate, to improve analysis efficiency and decision support.
- Support development and maintenance of Reliability Block Diagrams, Fault Tree Analyses, Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA), Level of Repair Analyses (LORA), and sparing analyses.
- Support acquisition and engineering design reviews by evaluating concepts of operation, system designs, technologies, and data deliverables for sustainment and supportability impacts.
- Develop and analyze readiness measures, including Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), Mean Logistics Delay Time (MLDT), and operational, inherent, and material availability measures.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel, OEMs, ISEAs, program sponsors, and technical stakeholders to document, track, and resolve RAM-C and supportability issues.
- Use Navy-identified tools such as JIRA, Advana Jupiter, Tableau, Python, or equivalent analytical platforms to manage data, conduct analyses, document issues, and prepare visualizations.
- Participate in program and technical reviews and prepare technical reports, weekly and monthly readiness reports, and daily/weekly highlights in accordance with task requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
- Experience collecting and analyzing technical, maintenance, readiness, logistics, or operational data to support engineering decisions.
- Knowledge of RAM-C, reliability, maintainability, availability, root-cause analysis, and lifecycle supportability principles.
- Ability to develop clear technical reports, briefings, and data-driven recommendations for technical and program stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site at the Government facility in Port Hueneme, CA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting U.S. Navy surface ship, combat system, sustainment, ISEA, or acquisition programs.
- Experience with Reliability Block Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, FMECA, LORA, sparing analysis, and readiness metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, MLDT, and availability.
- Proficiency with Python, Tableau, JIRA, Advana Jupiter, or comparable analytics, visualization, and issue-tracking tools.
- Experience applying machine learning, statistical methods, or predictive analytics to engineering or fleet readiness data.
- Familiarity with Navy maintenance, logistics, and readiness data sources and processes.
