Job Description

Pacific Staffing is recruiting a Data Analyst for our downtown Sacramento based client to support Power BI reporting, SQL-based data requests, data quality initiatives, and day-to-day reporting support across the organization. This role works closely with stakeholders and senior technical staff to transform business questions into accurate, well-documented dashboards, datasets, and analytical outputs while maintaining strong data standards and responsive ticket management. Salary:
$85,000-$90,000 per year (DOE)
Hybrid Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, DAX, and refresh behavior.

Complete data requests using SQL and Power BI; deliver dashboards, datasets, extracts, and analysis summaries.

Investigate data discrepancies, support validation processes, and maintain consistent metric definitions.

Manage and resolve data-related support tickets; document resolutions and escalate when needed.

Provide data support for Power BI, Dynamics 365 CE/FO, and other business systems.

Document SQL logic, report definitions, and recurring processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, CS, Math, Statistics, or equivalent experience.1-3 years of experience with Power BI, SQL, and data analysis.

Strong SQL skills (joins, aggregations, window functions, troubleshooting).Hands-on Power BI experience (DAX, Power Query, semantic models).Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with commitment to accurate, well-documented work.

Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse/Warehouse concepts, or modern analytics platforms.

Python for analysis or automation.

Familiarity with Dynamics 365 or other CRM/ERP systems.
