We are looking for a Data Analyst to support a financial services organization in Boston, Massachusetts through a Long-term Contract engagement. This position focuses on portfolio and investment data within a private equity setting, helping teams improve reporting accuracy, streamline data processes, and turn complex business needs into reliable technical solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, hands-on experience with Chronograph, and the ability to work closely with investment, finance, operations, and technology partners.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the collection, organization, and maintenance of portfolio-company data to support reporting and analysis across private equity and alternative investment activities.
- Translate business objectives into clear data definitions, rules, and technical requirements for reporting and workflow improvements.
- Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities to ensure consistency and accuracy across multiple data sources.
- Partner with investment professionals, finance teams, portfolio operations, and technology stakeholders to deliver dependable data solutions aligned with business priorities.
- Monitor data quality, investigate inconsistencies, and drive issue resolution through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support reporting processes by preparing and validating financial, operational, and investment-related datasets and key performance indicators.
- Use tools such as Snowflake and Microsoft Azure to assist with data processing, storage, and analysis in a controlled environment.
- Contribute to data migration and workflow enhancement initiatives where portfolio and investment data must be integrated or restructured.
