70 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications Stakeholder engagement CSS Research JavaScript HTML Full Job Description To learn more visit: California DMV The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking to hire a student assistant in the Digital Transformation Office to analyze business processes, to identify automation opportunities, create user guides, training materials, develop dashboards, visual reports, and project metrics. The student will also research AI trends, assist with executive presentations, support deployment readiness and post implementation review activities. The work schedule is hybrid, in office will be at DMV Headquarters in Sacramento. Conditions of Employment This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited, student position. Employment in all positions with University Enterprises, Inc. is dependent upon the mutual consent of University Enterprises, Inc. and the employee. This means that either University Enterprises, Inc. or the employee can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause. Compensation $16.90 to $22.70 per hour. Minimum Qualifications Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of stakeholders, including but not limited to business analysts, business teams, developers, system administrators, etc. Good problem-solving skills. Basic understanding of web development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and data analysis principles. Ability to learn new software tools quickly and adapt to fast-paced, changing project environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SQL, Excel, or analytics tools. Familiarity with data preparation and visualization. Exposure to business analysis or process mapping. Basic understanding of AI fundamentals or cloud concepts. Experience with technical writing or project coordination preferred. Duties and Responsibilities Analyze business processes to identify automation opportunities. Assist with requirement gathering, workflow documentation, and process mapping. Prepare datasets, perform data validation, and support AI model evaluation. Develop dashboards, visual reports, and project metrics. Create user guides, training materials, and knowledge-based content. Support project reporting, risk tracking, and governance documentation. Research AI trends and assist with executive presentations. Support deployment readiness and post-implementation review activities. Physical Requirements Sit for extended periods; frequently stand and walk; manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication; use of office equipment including computer workstations, telephones, calculators, copiers, printers, and scanners with or without reasonable accommodation. Working Conditions Work is performed in a hybrid environment. The office will be located at DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.
