Job Description

Our client, an IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Senior Metadata & Data Governance Analyst - Banking / BCBS 239 for their Dallas, TX/ Tulsa, OK/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities:

Lead enterprise metadata management initiatives, maintaining both business and technical metadata repositories.

Develop and maintain comprehensive source-to-target data mappings (STTM) across complex banking, risk, finance, and regulatory data platforms.

Create and manage business definitions, transformation rules, calculations, aggregation logic, lineage, and data dictionaries.

Partner with business, risk, finance, compliance, and technology teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and traceability.

Support

BCBS 239

compliance initiatives, including data lineage, governance, risk data aggregation, audit readiness, and regulatory reporting requirements.

Facilitate business workshops and working sessions to capture data requirements, business definitions, and reporting needs.

Perform impact analysis, data validation, reconciliation, profiling, and UAT support activities.

Identify data quality issues, lineage gaps, and governance control weaknesses while driving remediation efforts.

Ensure governance artifacts, standards, naming conventions, and documentation align with enterprise and regulatory requirements.

Contribute to RFPs, proposals, business development activities, and client presentations related to data governance and regulatory transformation.

Lead and mentor a team of metadata and data mapping analysts, including task planning, quality reviews, and onshore/offshore coordination

Requirements:

Metadata Management, Data Governance & BCBS 239 Compliance

Source-to-Target Data Mapping (STTM), Data Lineage & Data Quality Management

Banking Domain Expertise (Risk, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Capital Markets) with Strong Stakeholder Management

Experience Required

7-10 years of experience in Data Analysis, Metadata Management, Data Governance, or Data Mapping.

Extensive banking or financial services industry experience.

Experience supporting regulatory, risk, finance, and governance initiatives.

Prior experience leading small teams and coordinating onshore/offshore delivery models.

Strong SQL and data analysis skills.

Experience with Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or similar governance platforms.

Proven leadership experience managing teams and client-facing engagements.

Experience contributing to RFPs, proposals, and business development initiatives.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into actionable data governance solutions
