As a Data Scientist V at Spectrum, you will leverage your analytical expertise to develop impactful solutions that address organizational challenges and guide strategic direction. Your work will directly influence the way Spectrum interprets data and shapes its future. How You'll Make an Impact Collaborate on designing and implementing statistical data quality procedures for both existing and new data sources Research and apply advanced data science principles and techniques to inform business strategies Assist in creating and presenting data insights and actionable recommendations to stakeholders Plan, manage and monitor projects independently from concept through implementation Visualize and report data findings in creative formats to provide clear insights and explain data patterns Lead exploratory analyses for new data sources or innovative uses of current data Apply rigorous data maintenance, quality control and validation of code, tools and models Mentor and guide junior data scientists to foster professional growth Working Conditions Office environment What You'll Bring to Spectrum Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, operations research or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience 3+ years of experience in data manipulation and statistical modeling as a Scientist, Consultant, Architect, DBA or Engineer 3+ years of programming experience Skills Ability to perform independent research and analysis Extensive knowledge of core data science and machine learning principles Proficiency in at least one data science toolkit such as Python or R with ability to learn new languages Comprehensive SQL skills Working knowledge of cloud-based infrastructures Experience working with large data sets and big data tools such as Spark and Hive Understanding of advanced mathematical and statistical concepts and ability to learn new techniques independently Command of developing data tools and models, scripting, analysis and ETL Basic understanding of data architecture, data warehouse and data marts Strong command of statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms Ability to synthesize complex code and determine where to invest time Ability to present findings to audiences with varied technical expertise #
